TestLife Safeguarding Policy for In-Person Mock Tests
Last Updated: 30/06/2025
At TestLife.co.uk, the safety and well-being of all children attending our in-person mock exams is our highest priority. This policy outlines how we ensure a safe, supportive, and secure environment for every student who takes part in our events.
1. Commitment to Safeguarding
We are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children in our care. We expect all our staff, volunteers, and contractors to share this commitment.
Our mock test events are designed to replicate exam conditions in a safe and controlled environment, while keeping child safety at the heart of our operations.
2. Staff and Volunteers
All TestLife team members working at in-person events are required to provide proof of identity and undergo appropriate background checks (including enhanced DBS checks for those with direct, unsupervised contact with children).
Staff and volunteers receive safeguarding guidance before each event, including reporting procedures for any concerns.
All staff are expected to act responsibly, professionally, and in line with safeguarding best practices.
3. Venue Safety
We carefully select and risk-assess all venues used for our mock exams.
Emergency exits and first aid procedures are clearly communicated at the start of each event.
Parents/guardians will be informed in advance about the venue location, timings, and procedures for drop-off and collection.
4. Supervision of Children
Children remain under TestLife staff supervision from the time of registration (arrival) until they are collected by their parent or guardian.
We require that all children are dropped off and picked up by a responsible adult unless agreed in writing beforehand.
Any child needing to leave early can only do so once collected by their designated adult.
5. Behaviour and Conduct
We expect all children to behave appropriately and respectfully during the mock test.
In the event of disruptive, unsafe, or concerning behaviour, TestLife staff will contact the child’s parent/guardian immediately.
Bullying, harassment, or any form of abuse will not be tolerated.
6. First Aid and Medical Needs
At least one member of staff on-site will be first-aid trained.
Parents/guardians must inform us in advance of any medical conditions, allergies, or special requirements their child may have.
In case of illness or accident during the event, we will act promptly and contact the parent/guardian as necessary.
7. Photography and Data Protection
We do not take photographs or videos of children during mock tests without prior written consent from parents/guardians.
All personal information collected for event registration is handled securely and in line with our Privacy Policy and UK GDPR regulations.
8. Reporting Safeguarding Concerns
If any member of staff, parent, or student has a safeguarding concern during one of our events:
Please immediately report it to the TestLife Safeguarding Lead on-site.
For urgent safeguarding matters outside event times, please contact us at:
